Special events at the 2009 Festival
This year we are excited to be hosting a variety of different special events. The festival at the Barbican kicks off with a bang with the UK premiere of the director’s cut of Park Chan-wook’s Thirst as the opening gala. A day later we have Director Yang Ik-june coming to the Barbican Centre to take part in a Q&A following a screening of his critically acclaimed Breathless. We also have the Family Film Club at the Barbican, Bong Joon-ho in conversation at the BFI and at Nottingham Broadway, and of course the short-film galas. Scroll down and see what interests you, and please be advised that tickets for these events will go quickly.
